Are you working through an NGO in Peru? You should meet Gina Low Exec. Dir. of APECA PERU located in Iquitos Peru. http://www.apecaperu.org. She’s been helping the people of the region for 18 years providing health services and training and more recently also water systems. Her NGO needs financial help to continue.

Your work is beautiful. Next week I embark down the Amazon Basin to several remote villages, three of which we will install clean water wells. Is there any aspect you think important to highlight in an effort to continue to illustrate the challenges and the opportunities if basic services beginning with water, are available?

You have elegantly illustrated the rich history, cultural diversity and the economic challenges.

these images brought up lots of conversation at our lunch table today…. it’s amazing how the world view of 2 little boys (ages 4 and 7) born into great privilege can become a little more broad over ham sandwiches, grapes and the internet. we came to the conclusion that in some ways we are the same even under such different living conditions and that every human deserves water, shelter and love from a family.
